Treatments are used to enhance a gemstone’s beauty by changing the color and/or clarity.

Is it ok to treat a natural gemstone?

A Gemstone’s value is derived from its rarity. Therefore, those with naturally finer color, clarity, size and cut will command a premium.

That being said, many enhancements and treatments are very common for certain gemstones. These enhancements and treatments are acceptable as long as the end consumer is fully aware of the enhancement or treatment prior to purchasing the gemstone.
